Sealing work is planned on Route 96 in Owego and Candor in Tioga County, starting at 7 a.m. Monday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Well-known area musician Bucky Moon, who turned 82 June 27, will be honored at a belated birthday bash from 2 to 4 p.m Sunday at the Candor Fire hall, state Route 96B , Candor.

Individuals charged with criminal offenses noted in this column will face a court proceeding to determine whether they are guilty of the charges.

The cheese houses of the Finger Lakes region hope to build on the success of their inaugural open house tour this year with their second Finger Lakes Cheese Trail tour event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
